Campbell's Bay Early Learning Centre is not your ordinary daycare. A vacant church has been developed into a beachside complex, complete with playgrounds, beautifully fitted playrooms and stunning architectural details.
South have produced a wide-ranging brand identity and launch campaign to market the centre, from photography and illustration to interactive digital wayfinding and animation. A website and curated social media feed rounds out the offering.
Inspired by the peaked roof of the church, South created a triangular motif which is threaded through each aspect of the brand alongside other playful shapes and illustrations. A warm colour palette drawn from the church itself is paired with friendly typography to create a welcoming space for kids, while retaining a level of sophistication. Te Reo is used to name the playrooms, and a custom graduation kākahu takes pride of place in the entrance foyer.
